Meet your Acupuncturist:

Caroline Floyd holds a Doctorate and Masters degree in Chinese Medicine and is a licensed acupuncturist in both Utah and California. In 2021 she moved out to Moab to be closer to her in-laws who live in Moab and to pursue a life of what she loves most- exploring the desert with her two pups, Sumac & Leroy, and her partner Travis.

Caroline discovered her love of Chinese medicine in College. She graduated from Guilford College in North Carolina with a BA in East Asian Studies and a concentration in Mandarin. While in College she studied abroad in Beijing and later moved back after she graduated. She spent 3 years in China teaching, traveling, and studying Chinese Medicine. While living abroad she received acupuncture and Chinese herbs whenever she was sick. She was so interested in her experience with Chinese medicine and spent her free time in local clinics practicing Mandarin and shadowing practitioners.

After returning to the States, she enrolled at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego where she graduated magna cum laude with a Masters in Traditional Chinese and Oriental Medicine (MSTOM) and a Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM).

While in San Diego, she worked at Rady's Children's hospital in the chronic pain and oncology pediatric unit. She also worked at UCSD Cancer Center providing integrative treatment to oncology patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiation. She has a passion for volunteering and has had the opportunity to work with the underserved populations of San Diego, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic.

As a doctor of acupuncture and herbal medicine, she created her own Chinese herbal product line. Caroline uses herbs in conjunction with acupuncture and has found that patients who do both have faster results. Caroline has formulas for women's health (anywhere from postpartum to menopause to painful periods) and also wellness formulas for sleep, stress, overthinking, irritability, and immune support.

Caroline approaches patient care with love, humor, and kindness. She grew up in a large, extroverted family that prioritizes humor as a malady for all ailments. When she is not working you can find her outdoors hiking, camping, and biking with the pups. She is a firm believer that optimal physical and mental health is directly correlated with time outside connecting with nature and moving your body in a way that feels good— which is why she is so happy to be here in Moab.
